Sylwia graduated from English studies at the Jagiellonian University in Poland. In 2020 she started her PhP under the joint supervision of Merel Keijzer and Magdalena Smoleń- Wawrzusiszyn from Sylwia's home institution in Poland. Her research interests include bilingualism and connection between language and emotions, positive psychology and third- age language learning. Her project entitled "Third-age learning and teaching of English in Poland. Towards a theoretical and methodological model of foreign language teaching in older adulthood" focuses on conducing a needs analysis among older adults and proposing a set of guidelines how to work with them during English classes.
