Michelle obtained her BA in English and American Studies at the University of Salzburg and is now a second-year Research Master student in the Language and Cognition program at the University of Groningen. She is currently writing her Master's thesis under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Merel Keijzer and Prof. Dr. Simone Pfenninger (University of Salzburg) on the interrelationship between motivation, language anxiety, and cognitive performance whilst learning a second language in the third age. As a simultaneous bilingual herself (English/German), Michelle's interests include, amongst others, bi-/multilingualism, (second) language acquisition, psycholinguistics, and aphasiology/language impairment
